THE BODY LIFE IN THE DIVINE REVELATIONMessage One
The Divine Revelation
Only the divine revelation can give us spiritual insight and perception as well as a healthy living and labor. (1 Tim. 1:11-12)
The divine revelation causes us not only to know God and His economy, but also to follow Him from strength to strength.
The fresh revelation also causes our existence to become purposeful and meaningful and our living to become enjoyable and dynamic.
By living in the reality of the divine revelation, we may havae the union in the divine life, the mingling with the divine nature, and the incorporation in the divine person.
God the Father unveils Jesus as the Christ, the Son of the living God.
"He said to them, But you, who do you say that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said, Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in the heavens." (Matt. 16:15-17)
In the Old Testament the prophets, the priests, and the kings were anointed. yet they were anointed only for a specific commitment.
"The Christ" denotes that Jesus is the unique one anointed for the carrying out of the totality of God's economy.
"The Son of the living God" denotes that Jesus Christ is different from all the previous anointed ones. he is God and executes God's economy in His person and in His life.
God the Son unveils the church and the building up of the church.
"And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it." (Matt. 16:18)
The church is the final revelation revealed by Christ to those who have a revelation of Christ. (The New Jerusalem is the consummation of the church.)
The revelation of the church must be accompanied by the revelation of the person of the Christ. (In the healthy church life, there should be nothing else but Christ as the focus, the content, the issue, and the testimony.)
The revelation of the church can only be unveiled to a "Peter" - a living stone.
The unveiling of the church is so that the church can be built upon the revelation of Christ. "Upon this rock [the revelation of Christ] I will build My church."
