THE BODY LIFE IN THE DIVINE REVELATIONMessage Two
The Reality of the Divine Revelation - the Body of Christ
Being the fullness of Christ - being the fullness of this great universal Christ, the One who fills all in all (Eph. 1:23). (c.f. The Divine Dispensing of the Divine Trinity, pp. 249-250)
Being the fullness of the rich Christ - the produce of the Body of Christ, not through organization but through Christ's dispensing in His unsearchable riches, saturating those who believe into Him; making them the Body of Christ (Eph. 3:8; 1:23). (c.f. The Divine Dispensing of the Divine Trinity, pp. 249-250)
Being one Body based on the Spirit as the essence, the Lord as the element and the Father as the source (Eph. 4:4-6).
Being Christ and nothing but Christ - To keep the oneness in the Lord and to avoid divisions, we need to uplift and exalt the unique name of our Lord by dropping all names other than this highest name. (1 Cor. 1:10 note 1). The children of God must see to it that they have no center of union apart from Christ. (c.f. The Normal Christian Church Life, p. 69)
Being the Spirit - the Spirit is the reality of the Body of Christ. Without the Spirit there would not be the Body of Christ. The reality of the Body of Christ is the Spirit whom we have received, experienced and enjoyed in many aspects. (c.f. The Organism of the Triune God in the Organic Union of His Divine Trinity, p. 61)
Being life - the Body of Christ is fully a matter of life. The life of the Body of Christ is a mingled life, a life that is a mingling of God's life and man's life. (c.f. The Intrinsic View of the Body of Christ, p. 11). Therefore, the degree of life is the degree of the reality of the Body.
Being the organic operation - full of the fellowship of the divine life (1 John 1:3). (c.f. The Elders' Training, Book 10 - The Eldership and the God-Ordained Way (2), pp. 114-115)
In the New Testament, the Spirit is the consummated, compound, mingled Spirit who is now dispensing into us (John 7:39; 1 Cor. 15:45).
In the Spirit there is divinity, which is God's divine nature, also humanity that is Christ's human nature. There is the person of Christ, His wonderful, all-inclusive death, Christ's empowering resurrection and ascension (Phil. 1:19 c.f. note 4)
All these elements are compounded into this Spirit. When this Spirit is circulated in the Body of Christ, divinity, humanity, the person of Christ, the death of Christ and resurrection of Christ are all in circulation.
Overflowing with resurrection. (c.f. The Practical Points Concerning Blending, pp. 19-20)
It is common today that in the local churches what we can see is mostly the "church" in its meetings, activities, works, and services. But we cannot see much of the reality of the Body of Christ in resurrection, that is, in the Spirit, in the pneumatic Christ, and in the consummated God.
There is the need for us to endeavor to be absolutely in the resurrection life of Christ. We need to endeavor to reach in the church life the highest peak, today's Zion, of the reality of the Body of Christ until we consummate in the New Jerusalem, including Zion.
Must take the resurrected Christ as our person - anything that is carried out even scripturally but in the natural life is not the reality of the Body of Christ. (c.f. The Practical Points Concerning Blending, p. 20)
In regeneration a person is made a God-man, but he is not a matured God-man. (c.f. The Practical Points Concerning Blending, p. 34)
They need to be nourished and perfected so that they can grow in life and become mature. Only in the local churches could they be built up for the building up of the Body of Christ.
ust be the corporate, perfected God-men.
This corporate living is the aggregate of many saints who have been redeemed, regenerated, sanctified and transformed by the processed and consummated God within them.
By this indwelling consummated God, these redeemed saints have been made actual God-men. (c.f. The Practical Points Concerning Blending, p. 34)
Must be in a corporate living
[It is a] corporate living, not a living by any individual.
The corporate living by the perfected God-men.
They are genuine men but are not living by their life, but by the life of the processed God. (c.f. The Practical Points Concerning Blending, pp. 34-35)
A need for blending.
The local churches are the procedure to bring us into the Body of Christ... Thus, we need to be in the local churches so that we can be ushered, or brought into the reality of the Body of Christ.
The purpose of the blending is to usher us all into the reality of the Body of Christ. (c.f. The Practical Points Concerning Blending, pp. 10, 16)
Not local church autonomy - not a democracy government.
Not a federation - there cannot be a head church or mother church.
Not organizational - no headquarters.
It is the organic body life of the Triune God. (c.f. The Building up of the Body of Christ, p. 32)
Being inclusive - able to receive all kinds of genuine believers. (c.f. Elders Training (10) The Eldership and the God-Ordained Way (2), p. 122)
Being in order - to fellowship, supply and submit mutually in the divine life.
To be constituted by the life of Christ as the element.
To grow in life through the increase of Him.
To be transformed gradually by the same life. Our old creation is replaced by Christ Himself as the essence and element of the new creation.
Being built up through the same life.
